Lancia Y10 Turbo... site slow to load so be patient!
This site is devoted to the top of the range Y10 Turbo, with a turbocharged 1050cc engine (85HP at 5750rpm, torque peak of 12.5 kgm or 90 lbft or 122.0 nm at 2750 rpm)it has a 0-62mph of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 112mph. In 1984 it was the smallest turbo on sale anywhere in Europe with a power to weight ratio of 107.59 bhp/ton and a quarter mile time of about 17 seconds! See the video (copy in to new browser window):

The Y10's 1984 advertising slogan...
"People you like, like it..."

My Y10 turbo's engine is completly standerd, however very simple modifications could see the power increase to 120 BHP if you dared - imagine what the power to weight ratio would be! Scary!
The low down on my Y10 Turbo...
This car is made from the best part of three cars. 1x Y10 Turbo - with one former keeper and about 40k on the clock when purchased in 1998. One Y10 fire and one Y10 Touring. Combining the eliments of all three cars has created the ultimate Y10 Turbo road car! It has great handling due to it's Koni suspension on the front and Gabriel on the rear as well as Brembo discs and Ferodo pads which stop the car fast on its P2000's tyres! More information... Well what can I say... wow! This is a stunning car with a heap of performance. It is much much faster that quoted figures for some reason?
It is like driving a 1.6 litre car, but with more torque. It's real fun round town and creates a ton of interest whereever it goes.
On long journeys it will not only keep up with the bigger cars, but also give them a run for their money.
The looks of amazment when you overtake the Saxo/ Punto/ Clio small car brigade is superb! Remember this car is 17 years old and only a 1 litre!
My car is perhaps the best condition, lowest mileage Y10 that still exists. Only 250 RHD were ever made! It has not been in the rain or driven in the winter since 1998 - that means it has been dry for the last 2190 days!
My car has also been restored beyond belief! The previous owner got it inspected by Trevor Nicosa (a Y10 racing driver and creator of the Y10 integrale!) who had this to say:
"1986 D reg Y10 Turbo - all problems solved, runs very sweet. Current owner 6 years. 62000 miles, 10 months MOT remaining.
Has had windscreen scuttle replaced. Pale non-metallic blue - sort of bluey-grey colour with red Fila seats. GTie alloy wheels powder coated in dark blue. Konis on front, Gabriel shocks on rear with new stock springs all round. Front and rear electric windows, Cobra alarm with remote central locking. Serviced every 3000 miles, new exhaust, all new bushes etc.
I have to say its the best, straightest Y10 I have seen for years!
The owner has been fastidious beyond belief - removed the covers on the Fila seats to machine wash them and them stitched them back on for example!
Sounded very sweet as well - if any Y10 is worth the money, this one sure is. It also looks like a Mk2 as it has the rear smoked lights and clear front indicator lenses. Also got and front AND rear electric windows, and even the dashboard lights work correctly. If I had the money I'd buy it myself, its THAT good. Trevor. "

You see I told you it was mint! The car has so much service history I would not know where to start, the best receipt however is the one for every single gasket on the whole engine - that's 150 UK pounds alone; I would say that if labour at a good garage costs 20 pounds an hour than this car has had about 10,000 pounds worth of labour on it as well as about 3,000 pounds worth of bits!
It's a brand new car without a doubt!

My rather mean, big grilled Y10 Turbo.
One of the very few Y10 Turbo's that still exist enjoying its pampered existence!
